Maggie Ploener

Maggie Ploener is a 10 year resident of Putnam Valley. She is a caring, creative and nature loving small business owner as well as an artist.

Maggie is running to make a positive difference for her neighbors in Putnam Valley and all of Putnam County.

She cares deeply about the environment and is quite concerned about the potability of drinking water (chemicals found in many area wells), the health of the lakes (Putnam County has the worst in algae bloom in NYS per the Putnam County DOH.) Maggie knows how important our lakes and streams are, and she knows that the algae issue, if untreated, can be toxic to the ecosystem, humans, our pets and lower property values for all residents.

Maggie wants to seek more honesty and transparency in local government. Maggie has been involved with many local issues. She has led food drives and coat drives. She has been involved in the oversight of governance of Putnam County and Putnam Valley for over 6 years. Maggie knows Putnam County, its issues, deficits and pluses. She is 100% committed to be constantly in attendance as a driving force in our county legislature.
